| My name's Lizzie, I'm 27. I was raised in a really conservative family and am constantly surrounded by closed minded people (It's Texas, they do homophobia like it's nobody's business). I've been in a relationship with my boyfriend (who I love and adore) for almost five years now (July 14th, 2003). I live with him now (something my parents ain't too happy with considering there is no wedding band on my finger). I'm really private, in the sense that the only person I've told too much about me (other than you now) is my therapist and for one reason only: I don't know him, he doesn't know me (not personally) and after I tell him stuff, I don't have to look at his face or talk to him about it again unless I want to. This journal will be the same thing. I choose what to dish out without worrying about having to deal with it in my every day life. A girl has to lead her every day life as normal as she can (especially the girl with the pea brained family who don't tolerate people who are 'different') and have some place to let loose, without consequence. Thank you LiveJournal! | I don't watch much T.V., but the boyfriend sets it up so it records some shows (which is mainly a favor to Katie, but he watches some himself). I'm not that T.V. friendly. I hate having to wait one whole week to find out what happens next, so the fact that I'm naturally impatient makes me unable to commit to a show for long. I do like movies, mostly any kind, but I usually wait for them to come out on video. I like reading, that I do a lot, but I have a really short attention span so a book has to be either really good or really enticing (if you get what I mean by enticing) for me to actually finish it. I love walking, anything that keeps me active and keeps my mind active. Like a friend once told me, "You're like the energizer bunny, except you recharge yourself." |
